The Parents

Michael D. Holcomb

DOB:07/16/53
Occupation: Retire Military

My father is the source for my analytical side. He is an extremely thought process oriented man. Everything must be though out, planned, but he is not anal about things. Just meticulate. He gave me my gift for math, computers, and supports me thorughly in every event that I take on. I love him, he is half the reason I am at Gonzaga University, and one of the reasons I am the person I am today.

He grew up in Portland, Oregon. He joined the military in 1971 at the ripe age of 18. A young buck ready to get out into the world, he found his wife, and my mother in 1974. They married on November 8th, 1974. He moved to many places due to the military and retired after 21 years in 1992. Whereupon he moved back to Oregon to do the rest of the raising of his children and receive his bachelors of IS from Portland State University.More pictures of my father

Inge Holcomb

DOB:03/30/58
Occupation: Medical Claims Adjuster(And damn good)

My mother. Not one more like her, or better. She is my source of inspiration at acheiving the impossible. Growing up in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, she helped her mother run a guest house and raise her little sister. She held 2 to 3 jobs and went to school so as to support her family. She also graduate a year early from school doing two grades in one year. After raising children until 1992 from 1974, she went back to school while holding down a full-time job. Add in raising children and dealing with deaths in the family and you will find one strong willed woman. She is the only foreigner that I know that can perform better in English than about 99% of English speaking people can. The woman is amazing.

She received her degree in Medical Records, becoming a fully certified Medical Records Technician from AHIMA. She began work at Pacificare and quickly moved up the ranks. In 1999 she accepted an offer from Pacificare of Oregon to open a site in Ireland and train personnel.
