This is a brief list of some movies and books related to time travel. 

Books

"The Clock that Went Backwards" by Edward Page Mitchell- the first short story published regarding time travel
The Time Machine by H.G. Wells- one of the best known time travel stories
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle- a children's book regarding time travel
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain- the basis for many time travel films
The Anubis Gate by Tim Powers- includes an example of the free-lunch paradox
The Door Into Summer by Robert Heinlein- a favorite of many time travel fans


Movies

The Time Machine- an adaptation of Wells' classic novel
Kate and Leopold- a modern romance involving time travel
Frequency- an interesting spin on time travel since it is information, rather than people, that travels across time
12 Monkeys- a post-apocalyptic view of time travel and its implications
Timeline- a more recent example of time travel films
The Terminator Trilogy- the time travel aspect of this film is less well-known even though it is essential to the storyline
The Back to the Future Trilogy- includes an interesting spin on the grandfather paradox
Somewhere in Time- the watch is another example of the free lunch paradox
Contact- offers an interesting look at wormholes and how they might work
