My first great accomplishments were made in Mario Kart 64. I played the game alot but never really went after it until I was surfing on the web one day. Well, I stumbled upon a Time Trial Records site and noticed that my time for Mario Raceway was somewhat close to the top ten. I looked at the site and thought to myself "Holy shit these guys are severe losers. Who in God's name gives a rat's ass as to who is in the top ten for Mario Kart?" I then realized that I had to get my name up there with those bad boy "Karters". So I spent way to much time on just one course (Mario Raceway). I finally cracked the top 10 with a time of 1'16"24 and saw my name on the table. I showed everyone and they all laughed. They thought that it was pretty funny. Alot of them asked "Hey Hutch, why do you only have one time and all these other guys have top ten times for every course?" Well its quite simple really, I wasted way too much of my life sitting in front of the 'Nofrendo 64' and I decided to stop so I could enjoy the other things in life that I was missing out on (Example: uhh....uhhh......Well to be perfectly honest I'm not on all the top ten lists because I suck! Are you fuckin' happy now?) I actually cracked the top 10 again with a time of 1'32"58 on Yoshi Valley. I haven't done time trials in awhile now so I dont know if either of those times are still on the top ten.
I can play Mario Kart like no other. I can play with the controller held upside down, flipped over and upside down with it also flipped over. I can do the red speed turns just fine and can beat 150cc any of those ways. I also can play with just one hand (either right or left). I can't do red speed turns with my right hand very well but I have no problems with the left hand style. I am the only person I know who has played mario grand prix 50cc and swept with two racers by myself. That's right, I get both 1st and 2nd in every race (by myself) for every race in the cup!!! I hold one controller with my right hand and one controller with my left hand. Oh and there is no starting over so if you don't finish in the top four (for a race) with both racers it doesn't count. Also, no illegal shortcuts (ie. jumping the walls on Wario Stadium). See if you can do this. Good luck.
