19/4/2009 Grosse Point Blank Style
So maybe I lied, it might be six months before I update again, and when I do update, I might not even try to re-cap. Suffice to say that I had a pretty marginal ski season, but may have figured out the source of the issues so that I can come out fighting next winter. The other major positive is that I think I may have finally gotten my classic groove back. For now, I'm trying my best to take a couple of easy weeks before launching full on into training for a bike season that includes most of the usual suspects and Wilderness 101. I have a trip to Spokane scheduled for the beginning of may that will once again have me pretending to be a runner at Bloomsday. As it stands right now, I've got a couple of rides in, and did my last ski of the year on Wednesday. I've been enjoying mixing things up a good bit in the spring season. My big goal for the year is to ride faster than last summer and then actually carry some of that form into ski season. If I can do that, I think I'll be pretty happy with how I'm racing. Right now it's time for one more week off and then getting some decent training in. I won't make any promises, but I'll try to update again before October...
