| Quake
Team players. I've decided to put all clan matches on hold until
the newer HOPw's learn DM3 team play. Currently most of the
active quake players are new and the chance at any competitive game on
any map other then e4m3 would not be pretty. So get out there
and start getting some 3on3 and 4on4 DM map games going.
Once you all feel comfortable with the sounds, placement of the
weapons, armor and general strategies of DM3, DM4 and DM2 (which are
the most actively played maps) then we will look at further quake clan
matches).
QuakeWorld Team players - pretty much the same boat practice before accepting any matches. Then if we have enough for a game we can proceed. It seems we have more active quake players now then QuakeWorld players online. DForce is putting up a QuakeWorld server. |

guess I better start posting the Quake 3 information since quite a few
HOPw's have started migrating to that game.
DForce.HOPw is now running a Quake 3 server at HOPw.penquinpowered.com It is a DNS IP and not a static IP. So you have to enter the whole DNS name and not numbers. He has regular maps on the default port 27960 and is running a second server with custom maps on Port 27961. You can get custom maps at http://members.xoom.com/custommaps/ The HOPw3 servers should be up and running 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is located in Wichita, Kansas. If it looks like it is down, DForce says that if you are using gamespy and it shows the server not responding then you need to delete the old entry for the server and re-enter the DNS again. That should resolve the DNS number to the real IP. We also have a HOPw1 server hosted by Ice.HOPw out of Toronto, Canada. I have updated all the HOPw server pages with the working Quake, QuakeWorld and Quake3 servers we all go too. If you frequent some new ones and want them added to the list please send me the IP and I will add it. |
