| Bobo had his tryout
today. He played me in quake E4M3. I won 19 to 1 and he was in big trouble but I gave him
a break with about 2 minutes left he fell into the lava and I decided to shoot to pick up
a frag, instead of let him take a hot dip back to 0. That allowed him to get the frag
needed to rejoin HOPw. Welcome back Bobo.HOPw. |

| Bummer Hatriq was
unable to attend the Qgirlz lan party. It was a fun. I arrived at Trillian's
house about noon Friday. I spent most of the next few hours talking with Tigerlilly
since we were both without computers. We watched Princess play quake. Late
afternoon we divided up into three teams and went on a scavenger hunt. Tigerlilly,
Princess, Artemis and I were Team Quake1 and we won the event 33 to 28 to 22 vs the other
two teams. It consisted of finding item's related to quake. I purchased a
bottle of Tequila with the worm in it :) and had my burner hat to make Wormburner.
Tigerlilly purchased a tigerlilly flower and Princess got a wand. We each won
a quake2 toy. I'll have a few pictures up in a few weeks when I get the roll of film
developed. For now you can visit the Qgirlz Lan Page and view some pictures
there. We did get some games of Quake1 in and played for a few hours with some ffa, 1on1
and 2on2 games. Also played the new Q3test that just game out Friday night.

| We have another new
HOPw! NeoFight joins the quakeworld team. He played a good game but lost 3 to
18 vs me on E4M3. I think he is the first HOPw to actually have a worse ping then
me. He was approx 20 to 40 ping worse so was at a disadvantage from the start.
This time I played a little better. The server we were on ran at normal
speeds or I fixed my settings. :) I also didn't shoot my toes off, got all 10
still :). Neo got lost a few times in the graveyard, must fell in a few of those
open graves. Several times during the match I heard him go in the graveyard but he
took forever to get out. I actually left to look for him two out of the three
times. But the third I was patient and let him have a happy quad grenade to greet
him upon his exit and send him back to the grave :) Congrats Neo and Welcome to Clan
HOPw After the match we actually
had a swarm of HOPw's show up. We got a few matches togeather and played with two
lpb's that showed up. Madaxe, Blaster, NeoFight, Badjim13, and I all played a few
E4M3 levels it was pretty fun. Although pings weren't that good for some of the
HOPw's. |

| We have a new HOPw!
Welcome Kontra.HOPw! He played me in quakeworld and won 10 to 7 on E4M3.
He played a very smart game. Hit and run. I was a bit rusty after a few
months away from the game. But I made some critical errors to dig myself into a -2
hole to start the game. And with his 100 ping advantage I couldn't chase him down :)
I thought I was gonna catch him with a few minutes left but again made some typical
quakeworld estimation errors :( I hate quakeworld :). Damn game shoot down and ya
shoot your toes off. Congrats Kontra on an excellent game. |
