Welcome Proteus.HOPw to Clan HOPw's Quake 2 division.  He LET  Wormburner win with a 12 to 7 victory for me.   Such a nice guy, hehe.

The Monthly pics have finally been updated.  They will be able to be viewed after midnight tonight.

It has been decided that we will set one night a week for Clan practice.  Every Wednesday at 8pm Central time will be Clan HOPw Quake division practice at 146.6.118.28.  Practice is not mandatory but if we are to win more matches we need to get to know how each of us plays together.

Every Thursday at 8pm Central will be the QW HOPw division practice.  This will normally be at QW HOPw server if it is up.   If not possibly Rage #2. 

Muad is working on getting a QW HOPw server also up at 146.6.118.28.  As of this morning he was having problems getting it set up on linux.  Boogyman was giving him some tips.  Hopefully they got it up and running.  If not, then anyone who wants a QW HOPw server that is always up should help Muad figure out how to get it working.

Clan HOPw Vs Clan CN match was called about 5 minutes into the match.   Clan CN complained of lag from the start.  After constant comments about can't play here I reset the match and said we would go to CN server and play both matches.   When we arrived Zork was lagged and didn't want to play both matches there but would play their level.  Well everyone took off looking for a server that would be fair to all.  We finally found one at starcastle.idle.com and I asked some Hunter guy's if it would be ok to play.  They agreed to let us use the server, but when CN showed up someone kept telling the non HOPw/CN people to leave or they would nuke em and kept calling them names.  Which probably prolonged them from leaving.  That type of conduct was uncalled for and we headed back to HOPw server.  It was getting late for some members so we called it a night and would reschedule if things got worked out in advance.  I went back to inform CN of a reschedule but they wanted to scrimmage for fun, so KJ Craz and I took them on at CJ2 server and lost 44 to 27 on DM3.  They are pretty talented on that level.  KJ and I were 400 plus ping and laggin but I watched them and they have that down pretty good.

The begining of our level would turned out pretty good, since it was Clan HOPw 36 to Clan CN's -4.  Wormburner.HOPw 11, CrazNDhead.HOPw 10, Zork.HOPw 9, and Clipper.HOPw 6 to CN.I\e\x/I_ 0, CN.Punicher -1, CN.Lordezel -1 and CN.Thorin -2.  Bummer for us match was called, but Craz was low 200's and Zork and Clipper were in upper 200's to 300's and me in 300's for pings while the CN were all 300's to 400's with lag shooting their ping up sometimes.

Level DM3 was played first since we thought it would be a 3 on 3 while we waited for a member of Clan Red Eye to get home from work. The match started with a 3 on 3 but Quicksilver was having problems and asked me to join in. I couldn't cuz I was a rookie QW player and didn't know the commands to get in. Then a Clan Red Eye member dropped so it was a 3 on 2. We could see also that two Red Eye members were trying to join but they too didn't know how to connect. Luckily Ph4tty.POW explained the process. HOPw had taken a nice lead but I told them to restart since this was all new to Clan Red Eye.

We reset the server and began a 4 on 4 match after some problems asking several immature quakers to leave the server. DM3 was won by Clan HOPw 92 to 31. Wormburner.HOPw 38, Dforce.HOPw 26, Quicksilver.HOPw 26 and Madaxe.HOPw 2. Clan Red Eye had Bloodshot 19, Psionik 7, Madcow@redeye 5 and their 4th Player had 0.

We started e4m3 with problems again. It took some time to get several immature quakers off the server and finally Ph4tty.POW kicked them. Two of Clan Red Eye left and we were not able to get them back. Quicksilver was having too many ISP problems so had to leave. Madaxe got kicked by accident and so we started with a 3 on 3 and let Ph4tty.POW play for Clan Red Eye.

Clan HOPw won this level 52 to 25. Wormburner.HOPw 30, (I left to let Madaxe in the game when I had 9 frags, but then Madaxe dropped right away so I rejoined), Dforce.HOPw 18, and Flesh.HOPw 4. Clan Red Eye had Ph4tty.POW 18, Bloodshot 8 and Madcow@redeye -1.

Flesh was playing excellent with 5 frags right away. But then I started playin nearer Dforce and Flesh was overrun with three enemies constantly. Sorry Flesh.

It was an interesting match played against a classy clan that didn't complain. Thanks Clan Red Eye.

Wednesday March 18th at 10:15pm Central time. QW HOPw Vs Clan Redeye at 206.163.12.50 port 27500. Our level e4m3 their level to be named on Wednesday. Practice at inmotion (206.31.50.25:27500 on Tuesday at 9pm Central. If QWHOPw down then 206.8.102.53:27502.

Thursday March 19th at 9pm Central time. Quake HOPw's Vs Clan CN at 146.6.118.28 and quake.apci.net port 26000. Their level DM3 our level e4m3. Practice on Wednesday at 8pm Central time.

Level E4M3 was won by us 68 to 59, Alex.HOPw 23, Fluffbunn1.HOPw 21, KnowFear.HOPw 13 and Wormburner.HOPw 11, too bad I lost 5 to 8 frags being bored or taking out teammates. DW.Frontosa 19, DW.Carnage 17, DW.Badass 13, and DW.Speed 10.

Level DM3 was won by Clan DW 103 to 31. DW.Frontosa 32, DW.Badass 25, DW.Bones 25, DW.Carnage 21, Fluffbunn1.HOPw 18, Alex.HOPw 10, Knowfear.HOPw 2 and Killjoy.HOPw 1.

There will be a few broken images during the next few days as I transfer most of my files to my Gonzaga Web site. This main page will stay here at splcnet.com. I thank Pax for the space he provided me. I just didn't want to take advantage of his generosity. I will probably move the Clan HOPw page and roster page's from Jim.HOPw's donated space. Thanks Jim.HOPw for hosting the Clan HOPw files. That space was ending shortly so I believe I will transfer those files to the Gonzaga page also.

Pinch me, I need to wake up from this nightmare.. I thought I had a nightmare that Killjoy.HOPw beat me 19 to 5 on e4m3.

I updated the MiscLinks page and have linked some of those humorous files, ie: tits.exe, stud.exe, killrat.exe, hoho.exe, beer.exe and if I ever get it uploaded, rudoloph.exe. I had to zip them up though. The files are on our old Clan HOPw Geocities page.

I also gave the Qfront page a new look. Well it looks similar to the main page and the MiscLinks page. More tweaks are coming but I need sleep first.

I have challenged Clan Redeye to a match in the Ground Zero QW League and am waiting on a reply.

I would suggest to all HOPw's that we learn to use communication and leave and guard packs during matches. We need to work well as a team. Even our own level E4M3 is suffering since some HOPw's forget our area's and how we play and can help our teammates out. Save the packs and communicate.

I am also in the process of setting up a QW match with Clan Red Eye which is in the GZ League.

First I'd like to thank Ledfoot and Bear and Maud for Playing on such short notice. We acted like a real team, we didn't forfeit and we didn't whine so it was a victory for us..... in .. terms of conduct....

Clan Knightmare won by a total of 262 to 51 over Clan HOPw.

The first match was played on e4m3 our level KM.Juzam 36, KM. Govner 29, KM.Gaijin 28, KM.Kilgore 26 for a total of 119. Quicksilver.HOPw 9, DForce.HOPw 9, Bear.HOPw 7 and Ledfoot.HOPw 6 for a total of 31. All pings were evenly matched and the match was very well played by Clan Knightmare, Congratulations!

The second match was played on their level DM3. They wanted to play at another server but after some failed attempts we came back to the first server they gave us. Ledfoot got dropped so didn't make it back online until after the completion of the second match. I'd like to thank Topaz for beginning match two. I yanked him out of ICQ and dragged his sorry High pinged butt into the match, but after it got to frustrating he asked to have a sub come in for him since his became a constant 500 to 800 ping. Topaz bowed out with 0 frags about 3 to 5 minutes into the match. So alas, I had to jump into a hated level on a the hated Quakeworld, hehe. Prior to the match since we were down so far I told KM to let their LPB play this match. He had patiently sat by and watched the first match, but KM was short a HPB so Quake is supposed to be fun and there was no reason to let KM.Nuclearglm sit out this match too. He pinged from 90 to 280.

DM3 - Was won by Clan Knightmare 143 to 20 over Clan HOPw. KM.Nuclearglm 61, KM.Juzam 30, KM.Govner 27, KM.Gaijin 25, Muad'Dib.HOPw 9, Quicksilver.HOPw 7, Wormburner.HOPw 4, DForce.HOPw 0.
