I updated a few servers I go to on the servers page.

QBall tried out for HOPw but failed to gain membership losing to me 22 to -2. He had a great ambush on me and caused me to bore myself. I also was too aggressive and bored myself once more. And he did get a nice frag on me but it wasn't enough to make up for the 3 times I made him bore himself. He will be testing again when he is ready.. I encourage any HOPw's to help him train and recommend him for membership. He is a very classy person.

Well the upcoming QuakeWorld match is tentatively set for Tuesday March 3rd at 10 pm eastern time. So far only Quicksilver and Target are playing, I believe Flesh said he wants to play. Bobo works so won't make it unless he gets lucky. Crater won't know if he can play until that day. So we do need at least two more HOPw's to stand in if needed.

Well I did check with Clan Red Eye on possibly setting up a match, but before I heard back I received a challenge from Clan Knightmare, we are in the works setting up a QuakeWorld match with Clan Knightmare in the GZ QW League.

Killjoy sends word that our next match in the Clan WV Quake tourney is with Clan Happy Killers. He is in the process of setting up a date for a match.

I believe I will challenge Society of George as the first QuakeWorld Clan match in the Ground Zero QuakeWorld DM League. But I am waiting for some league rule clarifications. My impression in this league was it would only be one fight, which I hope isn't the case. I am also hoping that the QW HOPw server will be back up soon, or Nep and Target will find us a new home server.

I just signed up Clan HOPw to the QuakeWorld Ground Zero DM League. This is a league that will have matches From February 23rd to May 1st and then have a Bowl game with the best QuakeWorld Clans. So all you QuakeWorld HOPw's get ready for a lot of matches.

Quake HOPw's are welcome to fill in as replacement players if needed so come on by and help practice and jump in a match from time to time.

I listed our Clan at this link (broken link) and it seems possibly we might join the tourney.

The BC 129.116.73.40 is using a runes patch, if you want some variety go check it out, thanks Ren for loading it.

Clan Ma has really improved and showed it in our scrimmage tonight winning both matches on e4m3 and dm3, the tiebreaker level e2m2 was won by HOPw. But they helped us prepare for the Clan WV Tourney and we thank them.

We have a new HOPw today. I'd like to Welcome KnowFear.HOPw to Clan HOPw. He took a Wormbeating losing 23 to 1 vs Wormburner on e4m3.

Tomorrow Wednesday Feb 18th at 8:30 pm Central time at Fotr-HOPw server will be a scrimmage against Clan MA. They want to help us practice for the Tourney that we are in, So get with Killjoy and have fun.

Also if you run into a person named QBall, he wants to join Clan HOPw so introduce yourselves and get to know each other.

Practice was somewhat canceled since this week's match in the Clan VW Tourney was forfeited by the other clan and we advanced to next week's matches. I'm sure there will be some practices next week when Killjoy sets the times and dates.

Target sends word that the HOPw QuakeWorld server is being used by Clan Goff on Tues and Thurs at 7:30 cst for practice. If you show up during there practice ask them if they want help practicing and just let them know Target sent you.

Target is also organizing a QuakeWorld match. So Crater, Topaz, Flesh, DForce, MadAxe, Nep, Hornet and Blaster be prepared to serve your Captain proudly...

Well a very close fight on E4M3 vs Clan DW, but we lost 45 to 47. I just could not get a weapon and hold area 1. Sorry guys. Fluffbunnie.HOPw 19, Zork.HOPw 12, Wormburner.HOPw 11 and Clipper.HOPw 2 frags to DW.Frontosa 14, DW.Eskimo 13, DW.Dividian 11 and DW.Carnage 9 frags. I'm not sure where our other frag went someone must have had to restart but the end score was Clan DW 47 Clan HOPw 45.

I don't have level 2's results but it was played at the CJ server and the last count I had was Clan DW beating Clan HOPw 100 to 12 on DM3. I Know Target.HOPw had 8, Fluffbunnie.HOPw had 4 frags and Killjoy and Crater I'm not sure what they had.

One thing I would like to comment on about tonight's match is that we need better communication. We all have ICQ and email, if you are scheduled to play please email or ICQ whoever is organizing the match and also send it to me just so a few people know what your plans are. Whether you will be there or not and send a confirmation letter the day of the match or night before. One thing was Killjoy set up practice both on Sunday and Monday Nights what should happen is the HOPw's that make practice have the first shot at a match. It is ok to sub in one person if they just can't make a match assuming they know what each of the other three will do for that level. But if 3 out of 4 can't make a practice there isn't a very good likelihood that we will know what each other is doing. It has been quite a while since some of us have all played and know all area's in e4m3 and how to play together. One thing we could work on is leaving packs for our fellow teammates when possible. This is especially important near the exit and yellow armor area since a lot of HOPw's are in that area and there are limited weapons. Well I hope you all had a good time, that is more important then anything. hehe boy can a match get frustrating though, thanks Fluff for helping me, only problem I lost it as soon as the protector bunnie left....We'll get them next time....

O Target.HOPw is now the Captain of QuakeWorld division. He will start organizing some QuakeWorld fights. DForce is Captain of Quake2 assuming we have HOPw's that will play Quake 2, although I am hearing word that E4M3 is close to being converted to Quake 2, woohoo.. guess I might have to consider it, hehe

Well practice didn't really happen since only Zork and I were there for the e4m3 practice and Killjoy for DM3 need to have the starters show so we can get it down.... email Killjoy with your available times and we can see if we can all find a time to make it..

In other news.... hehe you won't believe it but yes.. I actually won a 1 on 1 on DM6 tonight 8 to 3!

Sorry to hear that Pax is retiring from Quake. But life does move on, and once a HOPw always a HOPw, so keep in touch, HOPw page will always be up with some sort of news...
