Hello! I made it to Spokane. I left at 6pm Pacific Time and drove to just north of Loveland Co. I took a 2 hour nap and then went to Cheyenne Wy. The wind really picked up while I was sleeping and of course then I had some truck problems. I added a quart of oil and then continued on.. but.. the oil/coolant light came back on. I stopped in Casper and added 2 gallons of coolant and that didn't even fill it halfway but it fixed the problem. Damn Uhaul.. they didn't service the truck. O well I won't get into Friday morning, hehe wasn't a happy camper. Sheriden Wy to Billings Montana sucked. The wind and the hills limited my speed to 35 to 55 mph.. I made it to Butte at sunset which was nice since I wasn't looking forward to driving those mountains after dark. I stopped in Missoula and ran a mile or so and took a shower hoping to wake up and it seemed like I was good to go until I hit the pass between Idaho and Montana boy was I tired.. Only drove about 35 mph from there to Couer d'Alene Idaho. It started snowing lightly the last 30 miles but I made it at about 11pm. Only took 29 hours including a 2 hour nap... Good time considering the speed I drove for some sections.

I joined MSN today and got 31200 connections and checked out HOPw my ping is actually better then from Kansas but I have more lag now.

I would been set up a few days ago but it took me two days looking through all the boxes for the screws to my computer desk, hehe I forgot them in Kansas. O well $7 fixed that and now the desk is up and I'm online with internet explorer 4.0. Now I just need to get my email incoming and outgoing fixed so I can check my mail. I am receiving email at rnavrat@hotmail.com now. But that is just a local call and I don't' need the internet for that.

I will update the Clan HOPw page in January. Basically what we were thinking of doing is if someone wants to join Clan HOPw they must first be nominated by a HOPw then they need to go meet five other HOPw's and get to know them so that five members give the new applicant a vote of confidence. The reason we are doing this is to keep Clan HOPw tight. We are not here to fight Clan matches, we are here to be friends to chat, to have a good time with. If we get too many members that don't stay in touch with other members then we will fall apart. What we want are people who want to be in Clan HOPw for life, and make friendships and are proud to be HOPw's. So if you have friends that want to join that is what Clan HOPw is about. Even I have a hard time chatting with all the HOPw's but I try as best I can, but what we want is at least for all members to keep in touch with three or four HOPw's so that no one loses touch. Take Care fellow HOPw's I hope to be back online as soon as I can. Remember all members can set up clan matches. Have fun meet the rest of the HOPw's and ask them to help you win clan fights. Yes we will fight in Quake 2 if it is possible. Just organize and see if Maud will get a Quake 2 server running in January. But Maud.... Don't take down good ole quake server, hehe I love Quake... Quake 2... well it not the best...

I hope you all are enjoying time with your family. Haven't really had much time to play Quake like I thought. I have been mostly visiting family prior to my move to Spokane in a few days. Well I had a nice surprise yesterday my Marine Corp buddy that lives in Texas just named his son after me.. Ryan Dakota Trevino was born Dec 8th 1997. 7 lbs 5 oz 20 inches. Ooorah! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Trevino.

Not much going on.. Just playing a little Quake during the next few nights. I added some Xmas music to this page for the next few weeks hope you enjoy.

I got back this morning at 7 a.m. from the LAN party in Wichita with DForce. It was pretty interesting. We played Quake 2 which of course I suck at. I have no clue where the maps go or where stuff is. I still don't care for Quake 2 at all. We played Need for Speed 2 which is an awesome racing game. very nice 3dfx graphics. And of course a HOPw LAN party wouldn't be complete without E4M3!!! Yes I'm sorry to say for the other folks.. I hogged the frags.. Only 100+ to DForce's 50 and lower for the other three.... But I'd like to thank DForce and Otter for inviting me. I had a good time.

I was wrong about the blahbalicous movie... it is pretty darn funny...I will link it on my files page which I still have a lot of work to do on my web pages, lots of broken links to images and sounds.... Sorry I will get to them in January.

It turned out to be a great Sunday! The Vikings made the playoffs. R.Smith ran for a Viking single season rushing record 1,266 yards! B.Sanders also surpassed 2000 yards with 2,053 yards in a season!

Fotr - HOPw server has a new IP until after Christmas break. The new ip is 146.6.118.30. Woohoo finally done with the parents computer... all it took was a little thing called osr2, hehe Should listened to Dforce over a week ago and tried that first. O well live and learn.

Yes I bought Quake 2.... for a day... Quake 2 sucks so far for netplay. Now before you get all upset about that statement all I am saying is that it isn't that great a game for net play so far. When the right maps are made it will be ok, but nothing great like all the hoopla that is going on. Quake 2 has great graphics, cool looking quake marines male and female. The monsters are cool but I could care less about monsters since that equals single player quake. The hallways are still small, rooms have too many crates and barrels and columns in them. I have only played four maps but none of them were worth a crap for clan fights. No I haven't played any DM maps. I will probably buy Quake 2 again in a few months if too many people convert to Q2. Hopefully Quake will live on for a long time on the net. My evaluation of Quake 2 is incomplete. I just don't have the money right now to purchase and learn the maps.... of course I only learn the maps on the net since I wouldn't give the time of day to a game of quake or quake 2 in single player mode.

Madaxe, Weezer, Killjoy and Sunztu also have Quake 2 now.

Congratulations to Pax! He beat me 17 to 5 to become the newest HOPw. Too bad he got booted twice in prior attempts at matches. I was winning both of those. But I guess he needed to warm up. he is a very smart quake player and will be a good addition to the HOPw's.

Yes Quake 2 is out and already Jim.HOPw, Bear.HOPw, and Pax.HOPw have the game already. Pax had even set up a server tonight for him and Bear.

Well some weird stuff was happening during a one on one match with Target and I. It was a very tough match Target was leading 3 to 1 with about 8 minutes to go and I had a bead on him. I chased him into the graveyard all happy and glowing knowing I would get myself a LPB trophy...... I head the quad get activated and aimed at the ground as my LPB prey came running out ready to shoot me coming out of the water, hehe too bad I was already out and standing by the wall.... BOOM..... I shot..... then there was darkness..........what the hell?... I see Target shout no waaaaayyyyy....... hehe I see I am wounded but not dead.. where the hell am I? I say to Target? He says what do you mean? I said it is all black... last thing I remember I did a quad rocket jump back towards corner room in graveyard by the 100 health..... hmmm .. I start to jump and look up.. sure enough I'm under the floor.. i tell Target to come and see if he can see me.... I jump and look up and see the sky and 100 health, hehe as I examine my surroundings I noticed a crack of light in the opposite corner, wow I'm not just stuck in one spot.. I'm a room under the 100 health.. I go towards the light and am in the NW corner of the room. I don't have to jump anymore I can see the 100 health.. I tell Target to come to stand on the 100 health and as he enters the room .. POP.. hehe I just shot out of the floor.. So Target and I looked around but couldn't find anyway into the secret room.. I go over to the gl and as I jump out of the open grave.. I get sucked into the next grave and spit out, hehe damn this weird.. I decide I'm going to split this creepy stuff and I tell Target match has started again.. well he off shooting the sky and bore's himself.. so it is 1 to 1 now with 3 minutes to go and woohoo poor LPB is now mounted on my wall, hehe 3 to 1 59 pinger looks good on the trophy room wall,...  was hoping to get Target in there but he a bit slow, hehe

I'd like to welcome Maud Dib and Crater to Clan HOPw. To top off my wonderful Monday in which I lost 81 to 80 in Fantasy Football with J.Kasay's last FG with under a minute to play. I lost to both Maud Dib and Crater. Maud Dib won 10 to 6 and Crater won 23 to 6. Congratulations to you both.

Yes I know many links, sounds, and pics may not be working properly. I will try to fix all of this prior to my move. However it is my last priority. I will keep news as updated as I can.

Last Nights Quakeworld Match write up is done on Killjoy's results page. Let me give you a few of my thoughts on the match. First DForce put alot of time into organizing the match and didn't hear from many HOPw's whether or not they were going to show up. Please try and answer your emails saying you can or can't make it or even a maybe.

Thanks DForce for your efforts, as you now have learned things don't always go as planned. Yes Clan RA should have had all there players go to HOPw server to check there pings. If the site wasn't agreeable they should not have agreed to play there. Many HOPw's took the time to stay up for the match even though it was kinda late for them. That is not DForce's fault Clan RA should have suggested an alternative level for their level but E4M3 should have been played on HOPw server. That was partially my fault for not thinking about it. Damn been too busy to keep my attention on all things. Chalk that one up for Clan war education Dforce it not always pretty.

Ok now I would guess I am speaking for both Killjoy and I since he also mentioned this. I don't blame anyone for leaving last night, it was late and the next day a work day for many. I was a bit surprised that whoever played the first match but Killjoy had to go look for 3 HOPw's to fill in during the second match. Only DForce stayed for both matches! If you play the first one then stay for the second one if you were in on it or other HOPw's can't be found.

From now on when you plan on playing a match pull up your chair, grab your coke, rum, rum and coke, beer or whatever and plan on relaxing and watching T.V. as you wait for the problems in a clan match to work themselves out. Most of us have been through quite a few and not all are enjoyable. But we should all know that there are going to be organization problems, isp problems, connection problems etc.

As HOPw's the most important part of being a HOPw is conducting ourselves with responsibility and being polite to others. We want to be a classy clan. I want all HOPw's to be proud they are a HOPw! Make the name respected! We all know we aren't in Quake to always win and dominate but what we having going for us is a group of people with quality personalities!

This move was made since I am moving to Spokane, Washington on Dec 27th. I will post a new email address towards Christmas. It is at juno.com which is long distance for me now. But in Spokane it will be a local call.

Tonight is our first QW match. It isn't going good so far. Clan RA doesn't want to play at HOPw server since two people are 400+. I don't blame them but they should have checked that out two weeks ago.

Thanks to Bear, Pax, Jim, Killjoy, Madaxe, and Dforce for all there tech support. I'm still in the same boat with my problems but I appreciate the time contributed and suggestions. Currently I am having problems fixing my parents computer. The problem is that the cdrom is not always getting recognized. Part of the problem is the intel bus mastering conflicting. The cdrom is an atapi. Also the zip drive is coming up with a b: drive that is not there. My wife's computer is hopefully ok. The problem is me linking my computer to hers with Intel 8465B pro 100 tx lan cards. Hers I think is ok but I can't get mine to work.

The Elder Worm Shrine is almost done!!! This is a great remake of E4M3 that Bear.HOPw is doing. If you go to his page you can download an unfinished playable version. It is dedicated to HOPw's and eventually will have all HOPw Names engraved in the wall.

Well it looks like the Clan Match with Clan RA is scheduled for Sunday December 7th at 10pm Central time at the HOPw Quakeworld Server 206.31.50.25 Port 27500. Our level is E4M3 and there level is DM3. DForce is setting this match up and is in charge. QW HOPw's have first chance to play. I will admin if ISP is up. DForce would like to be notified by any HOPw's who want to play in the match. He would also like those HOPws to set up a training night prior to match. Well 25 days to go... I'm moving to Spokane Washington. My plans are to find a way to stay on the internet using aol, msn or whatever trial isp's I can until I find a job and get my finances situated. I will keep the web page going and still be on email and ICQ as much as I can. I will prob admin matches since those providers are probably unplayable for quake.
