Man HOPw's are on a bad streak with Clan matches. It seems something is always going wrong. If it is no shows or continuous whining. It is getting frustrating. HOPw's are rearranging schedules to show up and play but something goes wrong. Yesterday Clan ICE played 15 minutes of level one and split due to the score. Today NM who usually is a classy clan. I don't know what it was, whether the name Fluffbunnie puts fear in the hearts of opposing clans or what. But that is what seemed to happen. We realize Clan NM is from Hawaii and has ping and lag problems. We will wait for people to reconnect to get better pings we will move to a different server. We will not play Fluff as a lpb when the other team doesn't have a lpb. Fluff always intended to play as a hpb. The only reason he showed up as a lpb is because the match was supposed to be played on the CJ server because NM complained about FOTR server last Sunday. So Fluff did what he could and took 15 minutes out of his time and found a friend Elrond to set up a server so he would be a hpb. Well he shows up for the match. Clan NM whooped us on our server on our level but they still continued to whine when Fluff shows up as a hpb to play their level. Well that pissed Fluff off and he said some comments best left unsaid, and NM retaliated, needless to say after several people said enough.. and Fluff warned enough if more was said he would leave. Well it continued and Fluff left. Zork and Killjoy were sports and continued to fight out the level. We play with what is left, we play one on 4 if it happens. It is a game and Quake is always unfair on the net. Whether it is lag, ping, or better config's and always the chance someone is cheating .. it is still a game and you play it fair, and you feel good about yourself and your play knowing you did the best you could with the circumstances of your isp, ping and lag.

I just updated a link on the HOPwCon Page. It has a link to an AVI of News coverage of QuakeCon by a local Dallas TV station.

Is there any interest from HOPw's of Going to the Frag in Dallas over Halloween Weekend? The winner gets a $5200 computer. The tourney is free and there will be door prizes. Would be Great to have Zork, Boogy, Ledfoot, Fluf, Craz, Alex, Hornet, Target and I to meet for the first and last time. I'll be moving in December or February at the latest and will be too far away for anymore LAN Parties. Think about it and if you all can make it. I will get off work and go too.

Well Clan HOPw has advanced by forfeit over Clan A1 to the finals in the QC97 Tourney. We will play Clan NM next Saturday the 20th possibly at 4:00pm Central time. Although the time is not official yet.

We do have an upcoming match on Friday the 19th at 8:00 pm Central time vs. Clan ~ice~ they will play there level on DM2 at warzone.isrv.com port 26001 and we will play our level at Fotr 129.116.26.79.

If you check the files page you will see a link to download the QuakeWorld rocket arena patch. It is an interesting one on one patch and if you look at the sites page you can get the server ip I currently play at.

No match tonight but we will practice at 129.116.26.79 or same ip but in words.. blech.dorm.utexas.edu Our match has been rescheduled to Saturday 13th at 9pm Central time against A1. There level will be either e3m3 or e4m4. Try and make tonight's practice and we will try to practice again tomorrow night at 8pm Central time.

Oops I missed practice again. I forgot I had to admin for NM VS DND. Sorry HOPw's. But have possible bad news. I talked to Fr3ak of Clan BR and he said they all quit and disbanded. He will try and get them to do one last farewell match vs. us tonight at 7:30 pm Central time. I will show up at CJ Zone at that time and wait and see if they are going to play. As soon as I hear they are or aren't I will ICQ and email everyone. So if you have the time show up just in case.

Tonight we will practice at 8 pm Central time at FOTR if the server is up. If it isn't meet at CJ Zone and we can hope it is free. We will choose who is playing in tomorrow's match tonight. So if you can't make the practice email me again today stating you want to play tomorrow at 7:30 pm Central time. Meet at CJ Zone and we will decide if we are playing on that server or FOTR server.

Clan match in the QC97 Tourney is scheduled for this Thursday Sept 11th at 7:30 p.m. Central time. We will be facing Clan BR which is ranked number 1 ahead of our #2 ranking. Meet at the CJ Zone at 7:00 p.m. Central time. We will try and practice Tuesday or Wednesday night.

Well Killjoy said I need to update my page. So here it is... DO NOT ever send me forwarded messages in ICQ. I don't care what the topic is. If it is people spreading virus, someone got hurt, a good luck chain letter, whatever.. For you that don't know what a forwarded ICQ letter is or don't get the hint.. here is an example.. Undertaker wrote, Killjoy wrote, Weezer wrote or whoever... When I get letters like that I may delete you from my ICQ list. All those forwarded letters do is take up bandwidth. They do absolutely no good but waste time and bandwidth. If you want to pass on UIN numbers for people passing virus why don't you get smart and pass them to the ICQ people. They are the ones that can do something about it. Ok Killjoy how is that for an update, hehe.

Started the month with my isp connection down all day. I'm actually surprised to be typing this today. I figured they wouldn't get it up until tomorrow.
