| Here is Necro's Tip of the Day: | |||||||||
| How to make your own
sound flavor for QFront: First the basics, there are 9 types of files played by QFront;
miscX.wav is played when using the Patch/Demo/maps buttons miscconX.wav is played when entering the config page miscsetX.wav is played when entering the setup page returnX.wav is played when returning from run page runX.wav is played when going to the run page X is a number randomly picked between 1 and whatever maximum is indicated in the Qflavour.ini file. If the wav file doesn't exists, it will be ignored. |

| Here's an example of the Qflavour.ini file for the HOPw-Flavour. | ||||||||||||
Now, simply get some cool wav's and decide what they'd be best used for. Eg, if it'll be cool for an error, call it error1.wav and so on. Create a qflavour.ini file, setting the name and maximums for each type of sound. Place these files in a directory below Qfront\flavours, eg Qfront\Flavours\Myown. NOTE: If you zip the file for distribution, you have to zip the whole directory with the recurse option set. |
