-Gibson, William M. Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger Manuscripts. Berkeley and Los Angeles, California: University of California Press, 1969.
This book was a wonderful source for all three writings and their relations with one another. It included a reprinting of all three of Twain's manuscripts with textual commentary, emendations, and alterations that Twain had actually made in his documents
-Tuckey, John S. Mark Twain and Little Satan. West Lafayette: Purdue University Studies, 1963.
Tuckey certainly examined Twain's manuscripts with great care and wrote this book . He is referred to in Gibson's book
.
The first site had a wonderful gallery of photographs. The second site had a great biographical section, many on-line texts, and numerous links.
