Branches of Student Government - GSBA consists of three different branches to ensure the separation of powers:
Executive Branch Consisting of the president, vice-president, treasurer, speaker of the senate , cabinet, executive staff, president's council, class officers and elections commission. The Gonzaga Activities Board is the programming arm of GSBA, and is also included in the executive branch
Legislative Branch The Senate is the legislative branch of GSBA and it includes 26 elected senators who represent the student body and meet on a weekly basis. The Senate ratifies appointments, breaks into committees and passes important bills affecting the student body.
Judicial Board The Judicial Board resolves issues concerning the GSBA constitution and other governing documents. The Judicial Board also hears cases regarding student conduct issues.
