Digital Systems LaboratoryThe Digital Systems Laboratory is where electrical and computer engineering students expand their hardware knowledge by using complex programmable logic devices (CPLD) to implement digital system projects. Students use Altera's MAX+II software to program CPLDs using graphic entry or a hardware definition language (HDL) such as Verilog. This laboratory is an integral part of CPEN 330 Digital System Design, which is a 3-credit core course in the computer engineering program and an elective course in the electrical engineering program. It is offered in the fall semester of the junior year. |
