Back at school, y'all. Rock on.
1/8/2
Ok. It's been more than a month since my last update.
It looks like I have been sucking it up. I will
now try half-heartedly to add a bunch of stuff that
happened in the last month. I mean, it's not like I
didn't have any excuses. For one, the batteries on
my digital camera died. What am I supposed to do
with no pictures? Text is boring. Everyone knows that.
I could tell you I drew a bunch of cool pictures but
you'd have to take my word for it. So anyways... how
about some movie reviews? Let me find my ticket stubs...
One Sentence Movie Reviews/Ratings:
Lord of the Rings- Seems to even reflect what I can
vaguely recall from reading the book years ago.
10 Asters.
Monsters, Inc.- Pretty cool/funny for a movie
aimed at both kids and adults. 9 Asters.
The Mexican- Has some very likable characters. 9
Asters.
Entrapment- A little predictable, but entertaining
nonetheless. 7 Asters.
Waking Life- This movie is almost psychadelic
visually speaking, and in terms of content, is
presented more as a series of lectures than a
clever story, yet I still found it absorbing
and thought-provoking. 10 Asters. Not for everyone.
Revenge of the Nerds II- I finally caught this movie
from the beginning, thanks to Comedy Central.
7 Asters.
Revenge of the Nerds III- Lost some of the old nerds,
but not all of 'em. 6 Asters.
Revenge of the Nerds IV- I got tired after 4 hours of
nerddom, and didn't watch it. So sue me. And Revenge
of the Nerds (I) wasn't even on? Those network
bastards!
A Beautiful Mind- I didn't even notice I was watching
a movie: the story was that good. 9 Asters.
The Huge Molars of Horst Nordsfink- Starring Svenge,
proud owner of the interstellar toothbrush... ah who
am I kidding? Go watch Monty Python & The Holy Grail
and pay attention to the opening credits.
Other Semi-Recent Projects: (wish I had some pictures)
Oil pastel postcards. Find some 3x5" (or better yet
4x6") notecards, white on both side. Draw a picture on
one side and then modgepodge it for permanency. Leave
other side blank for postcard use.
Oil pastel modgepodge box. Draw a couple oil pastel
pictures, making sure not to have any whitespace. Then
tear 'em up into pieces approx 1"-4" in size (any shapes
will do). Modgepodge shreds onto paper box as desired.
Gel candles. That gel candle mix stuff, albeit expensive,
is pretty sweet. Pour into containers after heating. Don't
forget to put a wick in first (anchor it down by taping
a penny to end of the wick)
Knitting. If your public library system has the video,
"Knitting from Start to Finish*ing" by Bev Dillon
available for free checkout, you too can learn to
knit! If you dont have any supplies, a couple pencils
will suffice (only barely sufficient). Maybe later you'll
see some stuff I knit.
Other Other Current Events:
I'm going back to school in about a week (classes start on
1/15/2). Maybe then more updates. It's been kinda hard at

Updated a few of my webpages slightly, including mask.html.
I've been getting hits from people searching for crochet stuff.
