The Scarf With Cyclical Stitch Density
(in other words, the pattern on the scarf goes from thin bands to thick bands back to thin, then back to thick, etc)

Date of project: 7/13/1 - 7/14/1
Total time: 7.5 hours
This scarf is made with 1 skein (185 yd, 6oz) of Lion Brand Homespun yarn (color scheme: "romanesque"), and a k-size hook.
* I invented a quadruple and quintuple crochet stitch for this scarf, but I only ended up using the quadruple. To do a quadruple, it's just like a double or a triple, but instead of doing a yarn-over once or twice (before the first insertion into the previous row), do it three times. For a quintuple, do four. It's not hard to figure out.
Instructions

very beginning of the scarf
Scarf is worked from left to right lengthwise, crocheting rows along the scarf's width.
Start by chaining 21. Then do a row of single crochets.

After scarf reaches desired length (or you run out of yarn!), pull strand through final stitch. Weave in ends.
