ZagNet/Barney Documentation

ZagNet User's Manual

The ZagNet User's Manual is a basic guide for configuring and using ZagNet, the residence hall network. A printed version of the manual is included as part of the ZagNet Connection Kit. The manual is also available for download (below) at no charge via the web as an Adobe Acrobat PDF document. Adobe Acrobat 3.0 or later is required to view the manual.

Student's that wish to use Netscape Communicator as their primary mail client instead of Outlook Express can download the 1999-2000 edition of the ZagNet User's Manual for configuration instructions. The 2001-2002 edition is also recommended because of updates to other chapters.

They house student e-mail and web pages, provide storage space for student documents, and have programs such as SPSS and MatLab that are available to all students and faculty in the pursuit of their academic endeavors. Barney has undergone significant changes over the years as student needs have grown. For the most recent changes, see the Barney 2001 Upgrade page.
