2003 -- Norma McCorvey, the former Jane Roe of Roe v.
Wade, now the director of Crossing Over Ministry, Inc.,
formerly known at Roe No More Ministry, joined various
pro-life advocates in trip to Uruguay recently. The
primary goal of the trip was to share the story of Norma
McCorvey and the deep regret she now feels about her involvement
in the case to legalized abortion in the United
States.
Concurrently, McCorvey and others from
the United States met with Uruguayan elected officials to urge
them not to support legalized abortion in their country,
including the Senate Health Committee. A mix of secular
media interviews was topped by an evening speech by Norma in
front of a crowd of 5,000 where she urged Uruguay to not
follow the U.S. example and legalized abortion in their
country. Additionally, Norma was able to meet with local
Catholic leaders and various other Catholic groups.

McCorvey's trip to Uruguay.
