About Us

Gonzaga Campus Libertarians is a politically-oriented club that aims to engage the Gonzaga Community in dialogue about the proper role of government, personal responsibility, personal rights, and freedom. We are composed of Libertarians, Republicans, Democrats, Anarcho-Capitalists, Moderates, and "Undecided." While we are loosely associated with the Libertarian Party, we do not exist as a branch of the national organization. Rather, we are a political philosophy club that focuses on open dialogue and discussion of relevant topics and provides an outside perspective to many issues.

Many political issues today are seen through red and blue glasses. Voting usually falls along party lines and from this standard few elected officials stray. Rather than thinking of constituents, our government thinks about political colors. Rather than thinking for themselves and using well-reasoned logic, Elephants and Donkeys become sheep. It is our hope that we can help set people free from the false dichotomy of American politics.

There is a way out of our American partisan division. Come see what the Gonzaga Campus Libertarians can do. Feel free to come and discuss your views on the topic at hand.
